The Business services industry provides a variety of support and auxiliary operations to other businesses. This includes everything from marketing, consultation and logistics to travel, staffing, waste handling, shipping and administrative services. This is a highly diversified and important sector of the economy that is often critical to the success of a company or organization.
The majority of companies in this industry provide service to other businesses, and the vast majority of these are small, independent businesses. They may offer a specific skill or expertise that is not available within the business itself, such as an animal control or pest extermination service for a large company, or they may provide a specific function, such as a technology support service that keeps computers and other devices functioning properly.
Services are different from goods in that they cannot be stored for future use and do not produce a physical product, but rather deliver an experience. This is the reason that a mental health counselor’s advice/therapy is considered a service, as it can not be physically touched but does positively affect the individual. Other notable characteristics of a service include intangibility, inseparability and customization.

Favorited services appear at the top of the Business Services page by default, and are also included in the multi-sort function. You can also create a custom Business Services dashboard to display only your favorite services.
